Black & Gold Calendar & Vacation Days
Why Black/Gold Weeks?
To help all employees keep track of which weekend they will be working their one Friday Close, Saturday Lunch, or Saturday Dinner/Close shift, the months have been divided into “Black weeks” and “Gold weeks”. Gold weeks are weeks in which we are paid, and black weeks are the weeks we are not paid. All employees will work the same shift every Black weekend or Gold weekend. For example, if you work black week Saturday Lunch, you will work each Saturday Lunch shifts during the black weeks below :When is pay day?
Every GOLD week Wednesday.
I.e. September 8th, September 22nd, etc.
Tentative Vacation Days
Dates and Hours Open are Tentative
(meaning that they are only POSSIBLE days off)
August 23rd Classes Start
September 6th Labor Day – Windsor is Open
November 24th Thanksgiving/Semester Teardown - Windsor is Open
January 6th-January 11th January Meals – Windsor is Open
January 11thClasses Start
January 18th Martin Luther King Jr. Day – Windsor is Open
March 12th Spring Break Teardown - Windsor is Open
March 15th-March 20th Spring Break – Windsor is Closed
April 3rd & 4thEaster Weekend – Windsor is OPEN
May 7th Summer Teardown - Windsor is Open
May 8th Classes End
During the summer, Windsor has some summer hours available if you are looking for work :)
This does not excuse anyone from any shifts they are currently scheduled, and all employees are to put in sub requests and call-in for days they will not be able to attend work as usual.
