  1. Operates and cleans kitchen equipment in a safe and effective manner.
  2.  Keeps work area clean, stocked, and well organized.
  3. Records food production and serving temperatures as required by ServSafe guidelines.
  4. Prepares menu items according to standardized recipes.
  5. Maintains awareness and competency in food production, sanitation, and safety.
  6. Completes Student Cook-in-Training list within one semester.
  7. Is responsible for reading and understanding the content of the emails sent by the Student Manager.
  8. Follows the established standards for dress and hygiene.
  9. Has excellent attendance on scheduled shifts.
  10. Provides exceptional customer service.
  11. Is in accordance with established rules and standards by Purdue University’s policies and procedures

STUDENT SUPERVISOR-in-Training JOB DESCRIPTION

Practices the duties of a Student Supervisor, but with oversight from a full Student Supervisor.
·         Maintains competency in the operating, cleaning, and sanitizing of all food service and dining equipment.
·         Handles all food according to established ServSafe guidelines.
·         Attends training sessions, teardowns, and scheduled meetings as directed
·         Asserts professionalism and upholds confidentiality of sensitive information
·         Represents the food department with commitment to excellence, dignity, and integrity
·         Performs other duties as assigned.


STUDENT Supervisor JOB DESCRIPTION

Provides leadership to Student Associates for the setup, service, and cleaning during meal service. Monitors and trains Student Associates in safety and sanitation practices.

·         Assigns jobs and supervises Student Employees during meals.
·         Assists with training of all Student Associates, Student Cooks and Student Supervisors in Training.
·         Administers established rules and regulations regarding according to Windsor Dining Court and Purdue University
·         Represents the department with commitment to excellence, dignity, and integrity
·         Attends training sessions, teardowns, and scheduled meetings as directed
·         Asserts professionalism and upholds confidentially of sensitive information
·         Works closely with other Student Employees to insure all serving lines are opened and closed in a timely manner.
·         Supervises the setup and cleaning of the dining room, kitchen and dishwashing areas.
·         Maintains competency in the operating, cleaning, and sanitizing of all food service and dining equipment.
·         Exercises accountability for the proper handling and security of all keys.
·         Performs other duties as assigned
